Hurkacz edges Damm in three sets in Chengdu last 16

Hubert Hurkacz of Poland defeated American Martin Damm 4-6 6-3 6-4 in the Round of 16 at the ATP hard-court event in Chengdu. Hurkacz struck 13 aces against two double faults, landed 69.1 percent of his first serves and won 82.1 percent of those points, along with 52.0 percent behind his second delivery. He faced six break points and saved four, a rate of 66.7 percent. Damm served 18 aces with three double faults and a higher first-serve rate of 73.1 percent, winning 71.9 percent of first-serve points and 47.6 percent of second-serve points, saving two of the five break points he faced.
