Basilashvili downs Brooksby in Chengdu quarterfinals

Georgia's Nikoloz Basilashvili defeated American Jenson Brooksby 6-4, 7-6 in the quarterfinals of the ATP hard-court event in Chengdu. Basilashvili's serve record shows nine aces against a single double fault, with 58.2 percent of his first serves landing in, 74.4 percent of those first-serve points won and 64.3 percent behind the second delivery. He faced one break point and did not save it. Brooksby's figures list three aces and two double faults, a higher first-serve rate of 80.8 percent, 66.1 percent of first-serve points won and 35.7 percent on second serve, with five of seven break points saved.
