Gaston beats Faria in three sets in Hangzhou last 16

Hugo Gaston of France defeated Portugal's Jaime Faria 4-6 7-6 6-4 in the Round of 16 at the ATP event in Hangzhou, played on hard courts. Gaston landed 59.4 percent of his first serves and won 80.7 percent of those points, adding 59.0 percent behind his second delivery, with four aces against a single double fault. He faced five break points and saved four. Faria served 11 aces and six double faults, put 65.5 percent of first serves in and won 76.4 percent of those points, alongside 47.4 percent on second serve, saving six of the seven break points he faced.
