Ruse beats Ku in three sets in Seoul Round of 16

Romania's Gabriela Ruse defeated South Korea's Yeon Woo Ku 2-6 7-6 6-1 in the Round of 16 on the hard courts of WTA Seoul. Ruse landed 52.6% of her first serves and won 73.2% of those points, against 37.8% behind her second delivery, striking four aces with three double faults. She faced 10 break points and saved four. Ku put 49.4% of her first serves in play, winning 64.1% of those points and 42.5% on her second, with two aces and eight double faults; she faced 14 break points and saved eight of them.
