Australia's Taylah Preston defeated Japan's Himeno Sakatsume 6-2 3-6 6-2 in the Round of 32 on hard courts at WTA Seoul. Preston landed 61.7 percent of her first serves and won 72.0 percent of those points, alongside 48.4 percent behind her second delivery, with two aces and seven double faults recorded. She faced seven break points and saved five, a rate of 71.4 percent. Sakatsume put 65.7 percent of first serves in play but won 58.5 percent of those points and 47.1 percent on her second, striking three aces against three double faults while saving six of the 11 break points she faced.
