Sierra beats Brace in three sets in Sao Paulo

Solana Sierra of Argentina beat Canada's Cadence Brace 6-4 3-6 6-1 in the Round of 32 at WTA Sao Paulo on hard courts. Sierra's serve figures recorded four aces and 17 double faults, with 49.5 percent of first serves in, 61.2 percent of first-serve points won and 36.0 percent on the second. She faced 17 break points and saved 10, 58.8 percent. Brace registered no aces and eight double faults, landing 53.3 percent of first serves and winning 49.0 percent of those points, plus 32.6 percent behind the second. She saved 11 of 20 break points, 55.0 percent.
