Cerundolo outlasts Struff in five sets at US Open

Francisco Cerundolo came from two sets to one down to beat Jan-Lennard Struff 5-7 7-5 4-6 6-2 6-3 in the US Open round of 64, taking the last two sets after more than three hours of erratic, big-hitting tennis. Neither man found much rhythm on first delivery, Cerundolo landing 53.3 percent and Struff just 50, and both paid for it with 13 and 16 double faults respectively. The difference came behind the second ball: the Argentine won 54.9 percent of those points to Struff's 44.2, and his 19 aces edged the German's 14.
