Iva Jovic defeated fellow American Peyton Stearns 6-4, 6-2 in the final of the WTA 1000 in Guadalajara, on hard courts. Jovic's serving line showed four aces against three double faults, with 54.4% of first serves in, 80.6% of first-serve points won and 61.5% of second-serve points won, and she faced no break points across the match. Stearns hit five aces with four double faults, put 56.9% of first serves in, won 62.1% of first-serve points and 54.5% behind her second delivery, and saved two of the five break points she faced, 40%.
