Jovic beats Bucsa 6-4 6-1 in Guadalajara semifinals

Iva Jovic of the United States defeated Spain's Cristina Bucsa 6-4, 6-1 in the semifinals of the WTA 1000 hard-court event in Guadalajara. Jovic landed 68.9% of her first serves and won 58.8% of those points, adding 52.2% behind her second delivery, with two double faults and no aces. She faced 12 break points and saved 11, a rate of 91.7%. Bucsa put 65.5% of first serves in and won 57.9% of those points, but took only 35.0% of her second-serve points, striking one ace against six double faults and saving four of the eight break points she faced.
