Julia Grabher closed out the Tolentino clay Challenger final 7-6 6-2 against Maristany G., taking the opening set in a tie-break before adding the second 6-2.
On the hard courts of Porto, Maria Timofeeva beat Reese Brantmeier 7-6 6-2 in the WTA final, following the same set pattern. In Ankara, Berfu Cengiz needed three sets to get past Teodora Kostovic 2-6 6-4 7-5, and on the ATP side Luka Mikrut defeated Carlo Alberto Caniato 6-4 7-5 in the Genova 2 clay final.
The Adana qualifying finals produced one long match and two short ones: Fiona Crawley recovered from a set down to beat Lois Boisson 2-6 6-3 7-5, while Erika Andreeva (6-2 6-2 against Elena Micic) and Anastasia Tikhonova (6-1 6-2 against Viktoria Hruncakova) came through in straight sets.
ATP qualifying semifinals were played at four venues. In Porto, Anton Matusevich edged Tiago Cacao 4-6 6-4 6-4 and Marko Topo beat Mario Gonzalez Fernandez 6-3 6-7 6-3, while Robin Bertrand needed only 6-1 6-2 against Guilherme Valdoleiros. The most one-sided results came in Curitiba, where Lorenzo Joaquin Rodriguez beat Milani B. 6-0 6-2, and in Columbus, where Shunsuke Mitsui defeated Ryan Colby by the same 6-0 6-2 score. At the Laver Cup, Alexander Zverev beat Learner Tien 7-6 6-3.
Friday's schedule is led by the Hangzhou semifinals, with Daniil Medvedev (#6) facing Roman Safiullin (#102) and Kyrian Jacquet (#107) meeting Andrey Rublev (#25).
