Gorzny and Blanch recover from a set down in San Diego; Andreeva headlines Singapore last 16

The San Diego 2 Challenger produced two three-set recoveries in its round of 32 on 23 September. Sebastian Gorzny dropped the opening set to Mitchell Krueger and then edged the next two by identical margins, 4-6 7-5 7-5. Darwin Blanch followed a similar route past J J Wolf, losing the first set 4-6 before taking a tie-break and closing out 4-6 7-6 6-1.
The rest of the listed San Diego results were more direct. Nishesh Basavareddy beat Mees Rottgering 6-3 6-3, Liam Draxl came through against Jack Kennedy 6-4 6-4, and Tristan Boyer dropped only one game after a tie-break in a 7-6 6-1 win over Spencer Johnson. Timo Legout needed three sets to pass Daniel Milavsky 7-5 6-7 6-2.
On clay in Buenos Aires, Federico Coria recovered from a first-set tie-break against Lucio Ratti to win 6-7 6-3 7-5, and Juan Pablo Ficovich beat Juan Bautista Torres 6-3 6-4. A day earlier, on 22 September, Nicolas Kicker lost the opening set 1-6 to Tomas Martinez before running out a 1-6 6-2 6-0 winner; he is scheduled to face Hugo Dellien (#129) in the round of 16 on 23 September.
The main-tour schedule for 23 September is led by the WTA Singapore round of 16, where Mirra Andreeva (#5) meets Aliaksandra Sasnovich (#132) and Elise Mertens (#19) faces Barbora Krejcikova (#44). Seoul's last 16 includes Kamilla Rakhimova (#77) against Katie Volynets (#78), while in Chengdu Sebastian Baez (#51) is due to play Jenson Brooksby (#77).
