Mark Lajal was the most emphatic of all, conceding three games to Robin Bertrand in a 6-3, 6-0 win. The women's quarterfinals were more one-sided. Dalma Galfi handed Simona Waltert a 6-2, 6-2 defeat in Montreux and Fiona Ferro was even more severe on Lucie Havlickova, taking the last nine games in a 6-4, 6-0 win. Maristany G. came through the day's swing match, beating Clara Burel 6-3, 1-6, 6-1, and Noma Noha Akugue edged Anastasiia Sobolieva 6-1, 7-6 to set up their meeting. In Antalya, Rositsa Dencheva beat Maria Lourdes Carle 7-5, 6-2 and Irene Burillo Escorihuela survived Elizara Yaneva 6-2, 1-6, 6-4; Alicia Herrero Linana and Alevtina Ibragimova also advanced in straight sets.
