Elise Mertens also advanced without dropping a set, though the second cost her considerably more than the first. The Belgian handled Maria Timofeeva 6-2 7-6, breaking away early before Timofeeva dug in to force a tiebreak that Mertens eventually converted. Clay is Martinez's natural habitat, which makes the Briton's win — built on holding the crucial games at the end of the first and third sets — the standout Challenger result of the day. In Mallorca, Alexandre Muller was likewise dismissed, Felix Balshaw winning 7-5 6-2 with an escalating level of authority once the first set was secured.

Mallorca produced the day's cleanest scorelines. Miguel Damas needed every point of a 7-5 3-6 7-6 win over Dimitar Kuzmanov, and Pedro Vives Marcos recovered from a set down to beat Niels Visker 4-6 7-6 6-4.
