Secord Seals US Open Title on Hard Courts as Wang and Krueger Advance in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia qualifying finals produced four straight-set winners and no shortage of tight opening sets. Ella Seidel came through 7-5, 6-3 against Capucine Jauffret, and Ariana Arseneault followed an almost identical pattern in beating Alexandra Osborne 7-5, 6-3 — both matches hinging on a single late break in the first set that reshaped everything after it. Roehampton's second Challenger week produced the fullest slate of qualifying semi-finals, and the deepest resistance. Radu Albot was clinical against Conor Gannon, 6-4, 6-1, and Fabrizio Andaloro found a similar gear after a tense start to beat Tiago Cacao 7-5, 6-1. Patrick Brady saw off Olukayode Alafia Damina Ayeni 7-5, 6-2, Millen Hurrion beat Marcus Walters 6-2, 6-4, Leonardo Rossi defeated Hoda Habib by the same score, and Alec Deckers edged Oscar Weightman 6-4, 7-6. In Kingston, the qualifying semi-finals were brutally one-sided. Dan Martin conceded a single game to Nicholas Gore in a 6-0, 6-1 win, and Aidan Kim was barely less severe in beating Ronit Karki 6-0, 6-3. Kaylan Bigun handled Lucas Andrade Da Silva 6-1, 6-4, Arklon Huertas Del Pino beat Lorenzo Claverie 6-4, 6-1, and Thomas Fancutt was a comfortable 6-4, 6-2 winner over Enmanuel Munoz.
