Kawa beats Savinykh 6-3 7-5 in Beijing qualifying final

Katarzyna Kawa of Poland defeated Valeria Savinykh 6-3, 7-5 in the qualifying final of the WTA 1000 event in Beijing, played on hard courts. The Pole landed 54.9% of her first serves and won 69.2% of those points, against 40.6% behind her second delivery, and she struck two aces alongside six double faults. Savinykh put 65.9% of her first serves in play but won 48.1% of those points, with 50% on her second serve, one ace and two double faults. Kawa faced four break points and saved one; Savinykh faced 13 and saved seven, a rate of 53.8%.
