Fils beats Majchrzak in Tokyo qualifying final

Arthur Fils defeated Kamil Majchrzak 6-2 3-6 6-1 in the qualifying final of the ATP 500 in Tokyo, on hard courts. The Frenchman struck eight aces against three double faults, landed 59.2% of his first serves and won 73.8% of those points, adding 62.1% behind the second delivery; he faced two break points and saved one. Majchrzak, of Poland, hit four aces without a double fault and put 63.6% of first serves in, winning 69.0% of those points but 37.5% on second serve, facing four break points and saving none.
