Munar beats Kovacevic in Tokyo qualifying final
Jaume Munar defeated Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-2 6-3 in the qualifying final of the ATP 500 hard-court event in Tokyo. The Spaniard struck 10 aces to the American's three and landed 53.8% of his first serves, winning 85.7% of those points and 54.2% of his second-serve points, against two double faults. Munar faced four break points across the match and saved three of them, a 75% rate. Kovacevic put 60.9% of first serves in play but won 53.6% of those points and exactly half of his second-serve points; he faced four break points, saved none and served one double fault.
