Gea beats Machac 6-3 6-4 in Beijing qualifying final

Arthur Gea of France defeated Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic 6-3 6-4 in the qualifying final of the ATP 500 in Beijing on hard courts. Gea struck seven aces against two double faults, landed 55.4% of his first serves and won 80.6% of those points, alongside 72.0% of his second-serve points. He faced one break point and saved it. Machac put 65.5% of his first serves in play, winning 66.7% of those points and 57.9% behind his second delivery, with five aces and one double fault. The Czech faced four break points and saved two, a rate of 50.0%.
