Darya Astakhova defeated Desirae Krawczyk 6-2 6-1 in the qualifying semifinals of the WTA 1000 hard-court event in Beijing. The Russian landed 74% of her first serves and won 73% of those points, while claiming 46.2% of her second-serve points, with one ace against one double fault. Astakhova faced four break points and saved three of them, a rate of 75%.
