Bai beats Hodzic 6-4 6-3 in Beijing qualifying

Zhuoxuan Bai defeated Mina Hodzic 6-4 6-3 in the qualifying semifinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing, on hard courts. The Chinese player struck five aces against one double fault, landing 56.9% of her first serves and winning 65.5% of those points, together with 54.5% of her second-serve points. Hodzic put 67.3% of her first serves in play but won 54.1% of those points and 44.4% behind the second delivery, with three aces and four double faults. Bai faced four break points and saved one; Hodzic faced eight and saved three.
