Fils beats Damm 2-6 6-1 6-1 in Tokyo qualifying

Arthur Fils of France defeated American Martin Damm 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 in the qualifying semifinals of the ATP 500 in Tokyo, on hard courts. The Frenchman's serve figures show 72.9 percent of first serves in, with 76.7 percent of those points won and 56.2 percent behind the second delivery, alongside six aces and two double faults. Fils faced three break points and saved one. Damm struck eight aces without a double fault, but landed 63.3 percent of first serves and won 56.0 percent of those points and 51.7 percent on his second, saving four of the nine break points he faced.
