Kovacevic beats Svajda in Tokyo qualifying semifinal

Aleksandar Kovacevic defeated fellow American Zachary Svajda 6-7 6-2 6-4 in the qualifying semifinals of the ATP 500 hard-court event in Tokyo. Kovacevic's match totals included 19 aces against two double faults, with 58.3% of first serves in, 86.7% of first-serve points won and 48.8% of second-serve points won. He faced six break points over the match and saved all six. Svajda also hit 19 aces, with five double faults, landing 65.6% of first serves, winning 77.8% of first-serve points and 42.4% of second-serve points, and saved three of the six break points he faced.
