Medvedev edges Wong in three sets at ATP Hangzhou

Daniil Medvedev of Russia defeated Hong Kong's Chak Lam Coleman Wong 6-3 6-7 6-3 in the quarterfinals of the ATP hard-court event in Hangzhou. Medvedev's serve numbers included 18 aces against four double faults, with 63.4% of first serves in, 79.7% of first-serve points won and 51.4% on the second ball. He faced six break points and saved five, a rate of 83.3%. Wong recorded 10 aces and a single double fault, landed 58.8% of first serves and won 80.0% of those points, plus 48.6% behind the second serve, saving four of the seven break points he faced.
