Korneeva downs Preston 6-1 6-4 in Seoul quarterfinals

Alina Korneeva beat Taylah Preston 6-1, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the WTA hard-court event in Seoul. The Russian landed 55.1% of her first serves and won 70.4% of those points, adding 54.5% behind the second delivery, with one ace against three double faults. She faced six break points and saved four, a rate of 66.7%. Preston, of Australia, put 38.5% of her first serves in play and won 40% of those points, plus 43.8% on second serve. The Australian hit no aces, served four double faults and saved two of the eight break points she faced.
