Bondar beats Ruse in three sets in Seoul quarterfinals

Anna Bondar of Hungary defeated Romania's G Ruse 6-4 1-6 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the WTA hard-court tournament in Seoul. Bondar landed 54.8% of her first serves, winning 51.0% of those points and 42.9% of her second-serve points, without an ace and with nine double faults. Ruse put 41.7% of her first serves in, taking 57.1% of those points and 34.7% behind the second ball, striking one ace against 13 double faults. Both players faced 16 break points over the match and saved eight, a 50% rate apiece.
