Gibson beat Sakkari 6-1 4-6 6-2 in Singapore quarterfinals

Talia Gibson defeated Maria Sakkari 6-1 4-6 6-2 in the quarterfinals of WTA Singapore on hard courts. The Australian landed 77.8% of her first serves and won 76.8% of those points, against 31.2% behind the second delivery, with four aces and four double faults. She faced three break points and saved one, a 33.3% rate. Sakkari, of Greece, put 61.6% of her first serves in and won 49.1% of those points, below her 54.5% on second serve. The Greek hit three aces with five double faults and saved eight of the 14 break points she faced, 57.1%.
