Sakkari beats Hibino 7-5 6-1 in Singapore last 16

Maria Sakkari of Greece defeated Japan's Nao Hibino 7-5, 6-1 in the Round of 16 on the hard courts of WTA Singapore. The Greek struck nine aces to Hibino's one, with both players recording four double faults. Sakkari landed 58.1 percent of her first serves and won 72.2 percent of those points, along with 61.5 percent behind her second delivery. Hibino put 61.0 percent of first serves in play and won 58.3 percent of those points, and 47.8 percent on her second. Sakkari faced four break points and saved three, while Hibino saved seven of the 11 she faced.
