Harris downs Kovacevic 6-3 6-4 in Chengdu round of 32

South Africa's Lloyd Harris defeated American Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-3, 6-4 in the Round of 32 on the hard courts of ATP Chengdu. Harris struck 20 aces to Kovacevic's 11, and each man served just one double fault. Harris landed 71.2% of his first serves and won 91.9% of those points, along with 46.7% of his second-serve points, and he faced three break points, saving all three. Kovacevic put 62.5% of first serves in play, winning 71.4% of first-serve points and 52.4% behind the second, while saving four of the six break points he faced.
