Muller beats Kouame 6-4 6-0 in Chengdu opener

Alexandre Muller defeated fellow Frenchman Moise Kouame 6-4, 6-0 in the Round of 32 at the ATP hard-court event in Chengdu. Muller landed 66.7 percent of his first serves and won 76.5 percent of those points, adding 58.8 percent behind the second delivery, with three aces against two double faults. He faced three break points and saved all three. Kouame struck four aces but hit six double faults, put 55.8 percent of his first serves in and won 58.6 percent of those points and 39.1 percent of his second-serve points, saving three of the seven break points he faced.
