Adrian Mannarino defeated Juncheng Shang 7-6, 6-2 in the Round of 32 at the ATP hard-court event in Chengdu. The Frenchman's serve numbers were notable: he landed 78.9 percent of his first serves, won 86.7 percent of those points and 66.7 percent behind the second delivery, striking eight aces without a double fault and facing no break points across the match. Shang also hit eight aces, with one double fault, but put 60.0 percent of first serves in, winning 66.7 percent of those points and 50.0 percent on second serve, while saving eight of the 10 break points he faced (80.0 percent).
