Royer beats Walton in straight sets at Hangzhou

Valentin Royer defeated Adam Walton 6-3, 6-4 in the round of 32 at the ATP hard-court event in Hangzhou. The Frenchman struck 14 aces against a single double fault, landed 68.3% of his first serves and won 81.4% of those points, adding 70.0% of his second-serve points. He faced four break points and saved all four. Walton, the Australian, hit nine aces without a double fault and put 72.7% of first serves in, winning 77.5% of those points, while taking 33.3% behind the second delivery and saving five of the seven break points he faced.
