Joint beats Back 6-2 6-1 in Seoul round of 16

Maya Joint of Australia defeated South Korea's Dayeon Back 6-2 6-1 in the round of 16 at the WTA hard-court event in Seoul. Joint landed 80.8 percent of her first serves, winning 66.7 percent of those points, and took every point behind her second serve, a 100 percent success rate there. She struck one ace against two double faults and faced a single break point, which was not saved. Back put 71.4 percent of her first serves in and won 56.7 percent of those points, while winning none of her second-serve points; she also hit two double faults and faced five break points, none saved.
