Daniel beats Matsuoka 6-4 7-6 in Hangzhou qualifying

Taro Daniel defeated fellow Japanese player Hayato Matsuoka 6-4, 7-6 in the qualifying final on the hard courts of the ATP event in Hangzhou. Daniel landed 54.5 percent of his first serves and won 76.2 percent of those points, adding 51.4 percent behind the second delivery, with four aces and one double fault. He faced one break point and did not save it. Matsuoka struck five aces against four double faults, put 51.8 percent of first serves in and won 69.8 percent of those points, with 50 percent on second serve and two of four break points saved.
