Muller beats Bar Biryukov 6-4 6-4 in Chengdu qualifying

Alexandre Muller of France defeated Russia's Petr Bar Biryukov 6-4 6-4 in the qualifying final at the ATP hard-court event in Chengdu. Muller landed 72.6 percent of his first serves and won 80.0 percent of those points, adding 52.9 percent behind the second delivery, with one ace and three double faults. He faced three break points and saved all three. Bar Biryukov struck 10 aces against three double faults, put 64.5 percent of first serves in and won 69.4 percent of those points, plus 44.4 percent on second serve, saving seven of the nine break points he faced.
