Cina downs Uchida 6-1 6-2 in Chengdu qualifying

Federico Cina of Italy defeated Japan's Kaichi Uchida 6-1, 6-2 in the qualifying semifinals at the ATP event in Chengdu, played on hard courts. Cina's serve statistics show eight aces against a single double fault, with 71.2 percent of his first serves landing in, 71.4 percent of those first-serve points won and 52.9 percent behind the second delivery. He faced four break points and saved all four. Uchida recorded five aces and five double faults, put 48.1 percent of first serves in play, won 65.4 percent of first-serve points and 28.6 percent of second-serve points, saving five of the nine break points he faced.
