Parks downs Yamaguchi 6-4 6-3 in Singapore R32

Alycia Parks of the United States defeated Japan's Mei Yamaguchi 6-4, 6-3 in the Round of 32 on the hard courts of WTA Singapore. Parks landed 46.3% of her first serves, winning 67.7% of those points and 55.6% behind the second delivery, and the American's service totals included six aces alongside eight double faults. She faced seven break points and saved five, 71.4%. Yamaguchi put 60.4% of her first serves in, taking 56.2% of first-serve points and 42.9% of second-serve points, with one ace and one double fault, and she saved four of the eight break points she faced.
