Noguchi downs Imamura 6-1 6-4 in Hangzhou qualifying

Rio Noguchi defeated fellow Japanese player Masamichi Imamura 6-1, 6-4 in the qualifying semifinals on hard court at the ATP event in Hangzhou. Noguchi's serve figures were clean: one ace, no double faults, 72.3 percent of first serves in, 73.5 percent of first-serve points won and 84.6 percent behind the second delivery, with no break points faced across the match. Imamura landed 67.3 percent of first serves and won 60.0 percent of those points, but took only 41.2 percent on his second serve. He hit one ace against two double faults and saved five of the eight break points he faced.
