Hibino edges Mladenovic in three sets in Singapore

Nao Hibino defeated Kristina Mladenovic 7-5 3-6 6-4 in the Round of 32 at WTA Singapore on hard courts. The Japanese landed 72.9% of her first serves, winning 55.7% of those points and 42.3% of her second-serve points, with two aces against four double faults. She faced 14 break points in total and saved eight of them, a rate of 57.1%. Mladenovic put 74.5% of her first serves in and also won 55.7% of those points, while taking 37.5% behind the second delivery. The Frenchwoman hit one ace with five double faults and saved two of the nine break points she faced.
