Korneeva beats Sawangkaew 6-4 6-2 in Seoul

Alina Korneeva of Russia defeated Thailand's Mananchaya Sawangkaew 6-4, 6-2 in the round of 32 on hard courts at WTA Seoul. Korneeva landed 53.3 percent of her first serves and won 78.1 percent of those points, adding 42.9 percent behind her second delivery, with four aces and two double faults. She faced seven break points and saved five, a rate of 71.4 percent. Sawangkaew put 61.1 percent of her first serves in play but won 54.5 percent of those points and 33.3 percent on second serve, striking no aces against nine double faults while saving three of the eight break points she faced.
