Joint edges Yao in three sets at WTA Seoul

Maya Joint of Australia beat China's Xinxin Yao 2-6 7-6 6-3 in the Round of 32 at WTA Seoul on hard courts. Joint landed 51.5% of her first serves, winning 56.6% of those points and 40.0% behind the second delivery, with two aces and six double faults. Yao put 65.5% of her first serves in and won 58.3% of those points, but took only 31.6% on second serve, finishing without an ace and with seven double faults. Each player faced 15 break points and saved seven of them, a 46.7% rate apiece.
