Podoroska beats Badosa 6-3 6-4 in Sao Paulo semifinal

Nadia Podoroska of Argentina defeated Spain's Paula Badosa 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals of the WTA hard-court event in Sao Paulo. Podoroska landed 60.6 percent of her first serves and won 67.5 percent of those points, alongside 38.5 percent on her second delivery, with one ace and nine double faults. She faced seven break points and saved four, a rate of 57.1 percent. Badosa put 52.4 percent of first serves in play, winning 57.6 percent of first-serve points and 33.3 percent behind the second, with two aces, eight double faults and five of 11 break points saved.
