Yamaguchi beats Eikeri 6-1 6-4 in Singapore qualifying

Japan's Mei Yamaguchi defeated Ulrikke Eikeri 6-1 6-4 in the qualifying semifinals at WTA Singapore on hard courts. Yamaguchi landed 60.7 percent of her first serves and won 73.5 percent of those points, adding 45.5 percent behind her second delivery, with one ace and three double faults. She faced six break points in total and saved four of them, a rate of 66.7 percent. Eikeri put 47.3 percent of her first serves in play, winning 69.2 percent of those points and 31.0 percent on her second, with four aces and seven double faults, saving six of the 11 break points she faced.
