Okamura beats Desvignes in Singapore qualifying

Kyoka Okamura of Japan defeated France's Eva Marie Desvignes 7-6 6-3 in the qualifying semifinals at WTA Singapore on hard courts. Okamura landed 64.4% of her first serves and won 66.0% of those points, with 76.9% of her second-serve points won. She faced eight break points and saved seven, an 87.5% rate, striking one ace against three double faults. Desvignes put 58.1% of first serves in play and won 58.1% of both her first-serve and second-serve points, saving six of the eight break points she faced, 75.0%, with two aces and three double faults.
