Yao outlasts Hon 6-7 7-6 7-5 in Seoul qualifying

Xinxin Yao of China defeated Australia's Priscilla Hon 6-7 7-6 7-5 in the qualifying semifinals at WTA Seoul on hard courts. Yao landed 53.1% of her first serves, winning 62.3% of those points and 49.2% behind the second delivery, with one ace against five double faults. She faced 13 break points and saved eight, a rate of 61.5%. Hon struck four aces with two double faults, put 57.8% of her first serves in play and won 64.2% of first-serve points and 51.0% of second-serve points, saving six of the 12 break points she faced.
