Kuramochi edges Jeong in Seoul qualifying semifinal

Miho Kuramochi defeated Boyoung Jeong 6-4 3-6 7-6 in the qualifying semifinals of the WTA hard-court event in Seoul. Kuramochi landed 71.0% of her first serves and won 64.8% of those points, while taking 36.1% behind her second delivery. She struck no aces against 14 double faults, and faced 20 break points, saving 15 for a rate of 75.0%. Jeong put 63.7% of her first serves in play, winning 64.6% of those points and 48.6% of her second-serve points, with one ace and eight double faults. She faced 13 break points and saved eight, 61.5%.
