Yexin Ma downs Carol Zhao 6-3 6-0 in Seoul qualifying

China's Yexin Ma defeated Canada's Carol Zhao 6-3, 6-0 in the qualifying semifinals on the hard courts of the WTA event in Seoul. Ma landed 48.8% of her first serves and won 65.0% of those points, along with 57.1% behind her second delivery, striking two aces against four double faults. She faced five break points and saved three of them. Zhao put 60.0% of her first serves in play but won 40.0% of those points and 25.0% of her second-serve points, recording one ace and seven double faults while saving three of the 10 break points she faced.
