Bejlek downs Parks in straight sets in Guadalajara last 16
Sara Bejlek needed only two sets to see off Alycia Parks 6-4 6-3 in the round of 16 at the WTA 1000 in Guadalajara. The serve numbers told the story: the Czech landed 69.4% of her first deliveries and won 76.5% of those points, while Parks found just 48.5% of her first serves and took only 38.2% of her second-serve points. Parks faced eight break points and saved four, with eight double faults undermining her five aces. Bejlek faced a single break point and lost it, but that lone lapse cost her nothing as she reached the quarter-finals.
