Magdalena Frech needed just two sets to move past Nao Hibino 6-1 6-4 in the round of 32 at the WTA 1000 event in Guadalajara, racing through the opener before closing out a tighter second. The Pole's serve was the difference: 74% of her first deliveries found the box, she won 64.9% of those points and an outstanding 84.6% behind the second ball, striking four aces without a single double fault. Hibino, by contrast, won only half of her first-serve points and 57.9% on the second, with two doubles. The clean hold record kept Frech in control throughout.
