Xiaodi You beats Bosio 6-3 7-5 to reach Sao Paulo main draw

Xiaodi You came through the final round of qualifying in Sao Paulo with a 6-3 7-5 win over Veronica Bosio, controlling the first set and then edging a much tighter second. The Chinese player did it despite a wayward delivery, landing only 44.8% of her first serves and coughing up 11 double faults, but she was punishing when the first ball went in, taking 73.3% of those points and 48.6% behind the second. Bosio was steadier at 59% first serves in with four double faults, yet won just 55.6% and 40% of her own service points. The reward was a main-draw place.
