Hibino downs Bielinska 6-4 6-1 in Guadalajara qualifying

Nao Hibino needed only two sets to reach the final round of qualifying in Guadalajara, edging the opener 6-4 before running away with the second 6-1. The Japanese landed just 53.7% of her first serves but made them count, winning 72.7% of those points and a healthy 63.2% behind her second delivery. Sofiia Bielinska, by contrast, was undone on her own serve: 50.7% first serves in, only 51.4% of those points won and a damaging 29.4% behind the second ball, with six double faults. It was a clean, efficient afternoon that carried Hibino a step closer to the main draw.
